CamTronics at CFT: MiniFlex push-rod cameras and smoke testing equipment
For us CamTronics stands for two things that belong together in everyday sewer work: a push-rod camera that gets into narrow pipe runs, and a smoke generator that makes visible where a pipe actually leads. Both are instruments for small nominal diameters and for quick use without a vehicle-mounted rig. CFT works with them in buildings, on service connections and when searching for lateral connections.

For you that means short distances: ordering domestically, handling through the group shop SEMPERDEAL, advice in German, a fixed contact instead of a foreign hotline. The CamTronics range
MiniFlex2 push-rod camera systems
The MiniFlex2 is available with a 19.5 mm camera head in cable lengths of 15, 20, 30, 40 and 50 metres and with a 36 mm camera head in 30 and 35 metres. The slim head goes where a crawler camera no longer reaches; the 36 mm head is designed for larger nominal diameters, and the skids for it cover DN 50 to DN 150. The choice is made on the smallest nominal diameter you regularly survey.
Camera heads, push-rod cables and skids
As replacements we carry the MiniFlex1/2 CAM19 and MiniFlex2 CAM36 camera heads as well as replacement push-rod cables from 15 to 40 metres. In addition there are the aluminium protective sleeve for the CAM19 and the Mini Flex skids: camera attachments to 28 mm and 38 mm as well as versions for the 36 mm head in DN 50 to DN 100 and DN 75 to DN 150. Skids keep the head in the centre of the pipe so that the camera does not touch down in every bend.
EasySmoker smoke generator
The EasySmoker produces the smoke for smoke testing, that is for demonstrating where a pipe ends, where infiltration enters and where odour escapes from a leaking connection. The system includes an inflatable pipe stopper, a telescopic pole, a filling hose and a refill container. You choose this method when camera and plan can no longer answer the question.
Accessories for the working day
A tool handle and Head-Back adapter for the CAM19 and CAM36, a charger, a fabric case and a carrying strap for the MiniFlex2 round off the range. These are the parts that go missing first on site. Being able to reorder them separately keeps the system in service.

What these instruments are used for
The MiniFlex is a push-rod camera for narrow pipe runs. In the CCTV drainage survey it is used where the pipe run is too narrow for a crawler camera, and it accompanies burst and leak detection in and around buildings. We use the EasySmoker in sewer smoke testing. And because we carry out the drain and pipe cleaning ourselves, we know what a camera head looks like after an uncleaned pipe run. That feeds into the advice on cable length, head size and skid.
On-site instruction and training
CamTronics is one of the brands for which we offer instrument instruction directly on site, as for every electrical instrument bought from CFT. We come to you, show the operation on your own instrument and go through the applications that occur in your work. Anyone who wants to go further into locating equipment will find suitable modules in the training programme, for example electromagnetic pipe locating and sonde location. Service, repair and calibration
We offer repair, service and calibration for every instrument in our product portfolio; CamTronics can be selected in the repair form. Register a repair or service in advance and enclose the repair form, or alternatively send it digitally to support@semperdeal.com. With camera damage photographs help; the form provides an upload for them.
Frequently asked questions
Which cable length should I take?
Take the length that covers the longest run you regularly survey, not the longest imaginable: more cable means more pushing force and more weight on the drum.
Does a push-rod cable from the MiniFlex1 also fit the MiniFlex2?
The replacement push-rod cables are listed separately for each system and camera head. Tell us the instrument and head when ordering and we will supply the right cable.
How often does the EasySmoker have to be refilled?
Consumption depends on the amount of smoke and the duration of the smoke test. For longer jobs we carry the 5 l refill container as an accessory.
Does the MiniFlex replace a crawler camera?
No, it supplements it. The push-rod camera is built for small nominal diameters and short to medium runs; for long sewer sections the crawler camera remains the right choice. In our own operation the two run alongside each other, depending on the pipe run.
