Kluitmann Industrietechnik at CFT: keys and manhole tools
In the water network and in the cable chamber a job rarely fails on the measuring equipment, but on the fact that something cannot be opened or cannot be operated. Kluitmann Industrietechnik builds the tools for exactly this point: security keys of the SIGA range, operating keys for valves and fittings, HYDRA hydrant valve keys and hand tools for cable chambers. At CFT they lie in every kit with which we go out into the network.

SIGA security keys and holder
The SIGA range operates locking systems that are not meant to be open to everyone, and it is available in several versions. Which of them you need follows from the lock that is fitted, not from the purpose of use. The tool holder for SIGA keeps the key on the person instead of loose in the vehicle.
Operating keys and turning keys
Operating keys and turning keys cover the operation of valves, fittings and closures in the network, each version for a different system in place. Anyone whose stock contains several systems travels in practice with a small set rather than a single key.
HYDRA hydrant valve keys in two versions
The HYDRA hydrant valve key is available as a standard version and as an industrial version. The standard version is intended for regular operation at the hydrant, the industrial version for the harder demands of continuous use.
Hand tools for cable and service chambers
Pliers and hooks for everything that lies in the chamber and is not to be reached by hand, one version of them with a breakout assist. With these, covers are lifted, components gripped and seized closures released.
Matching to the locking system: the open point
For every key on this page it is the lock that is fitted which decides which version fits. A published allocation therefore belongs on this page, so that you can plan a repeat purchase across several vehicles without having to ask about every item. It is not yet available to us. Until then we settle every case beforehand, by telephone or from a photograph of the locking system.

What these instruments are used for
In valve exercising and maintenance every gate valve is turned and checked, and that gets nowhere without the right operating key. In water loss analysis and burst location in the network sections are shut off at night and hydrants operated so that the measurement says anything at all. At the service reservoir and in cable fault location the same tool decides whether we get to the measuring point. We therefore do not sell catalogue items, but what lies in our own vehicles.
On-site instruction and training
CFT gives instrument instruction directly on site; we come to you for it. The undertaking applies to the electrical instruments bought from us, with Radiodetection, Schonstedt, Pearpoint, Springbok, CamTronics and F.A.S.T named expressly. Keys and hand tools need no instruction; matching them to the locking system very much does, and that we settle before the order. In addition there is our training programme with eleven methods from locating and cable fault location as basic and advanced modules.
Frequently asked questions
Which SIGA version fits my locking system?
That is decided by the lock that is fitted, not by the purpose of use. As long as the allocation table is missing from this page, the clarification runs through us: photograph the locking system and send the picture to office@cft.at, and we will match the version and name the right item for you.
Standard version or industrial version with the HYDRA?
For occasional use the standard version is enough. If the key is used daily and by changing users, the industrial version is the appropriate choice.
Can I order individual keys later?
All versions are separate items in the shop, so a repeat order for another vehicle is possible. Tell us the original version when you do, so that two different keys for the same locking system do not end up in circulation in your operation.
What is the breakout assist on the universal hand pliers for?
It is intended for closures that can no longer be moved by hand strength alone, for instance after years without being opened. In older stock you take the version with the breakout assist; at maintained chambers the universal hand pliers with hook are enough.
Do the tools need a periodic inspection?
Not for their function, but they do need a visual check for wear, because a worn key damages the valve it is meant to operate.
